Among the typical events is the annual election of a young woman as a symbol of the festivities, who adopts the title of queen. His function is to lead the festivities, although sometimes he tends to extend his role as a philanthropic figure until a successor is chosen.

The Fellowship Parade

The Fellowship Parade is one of the most important events that takes place during the holidays. Thousands of young people from different educational establishments participate with their war bands and their comparsas, in a random order. The participation of political and institutional authorities stands out. The parade takes place on a Sunday in the main streets of the city; Cevallos and National Unity avenues.
